Car takes out pole outside Mahanoy City
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 11 AM on Tuesday, November 13, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Mahanoy City Fire Department (West End and Humane) with Mahanoy City EMS and Shenandoah ALS to 1210 West Centre Street in Mahanoy Township for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Medic 6404 and Ambulance 4803 went responding and was advised of a car versus pole with one male injured. Fire damages school, cancels classes
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – A fire that broke out inside a school building in Mahanoy City caused significant damage throughout, cancelling classes. Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Mahanoy City Fire Department with the Altamont Fire Company for their Rapid Intervention Team and Rush and Ryan Township fire companies for their tankers to 1 Golden Bear Drive at the Mahanoy Area School District in Mahanoy Township for a possible structure fire around 7:30 AM on Monday, May 30, 2011. Mahanoy City firefighters find house heavily involved
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from Mahanoy City and Frackville were dispatched shortly before 3 AM to 915 East Pine Street in Mahanoy City for a dwelling fire. MCPD Unit 94 arrived on scene and reported a fully involved rowhome and requested a second alarm. Fire units arrived and the fire quickly escalated to a third alarm fire. First units used deck guns to knock down the bulk of the fire and quickly moved in to make an aggressive attack. The building was laddered and the roof was trenched.
