SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 5:50 AM on Thursday, October 27, the Mahanoy City Fire Department was dispatched to the area of 10 North 8th Street in the borough for a reported house on fire.  Frackville Ladder 43-20 and Mahanoy City EMS were also due. Assistant Chief 455 was the first officer on air and was advised on multiple calls reporting a house on fire with a car still in the driveway.  The chief was on scene shortly after reporting a two story, wood frame detached dwelling with heavy fire throughout.  The status of occupants was unknown. Mahanoy Area mock DUI accident

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Two cars collide, multiple teenagers are trapped in the vehicles, one teenager is thrown from the back seat through the windshield – she is dead on the hood.  A distraught mother rushes into the scene as first responders arrive.  The police arrest the driver of one vehicle, he was driving while impaired and more than likely created this disaster.  The poor decision of one person just affected dozens, if not hundreds of lives. Mahanoy City strikes second alarm on rowhome fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 2:00 AM on April 6 Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Mahanoy City Fire Department, Frackville for their ladder, Mahanoy City EMS and Shenandoah ALS to 329 East Centre Street in Mahanoy City for a reported house fire. First responding units were advised that multiple calls were received for smoke and flames coming from the first floor of a rowhome.  Assistant Chieff 455 arrived on the scene and confirmed the working fire with heavy fire from Side “A” and stated there was possible entrapment. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 11 AM on Tuesday, November 13, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Mahanoy City Fire Department (West End and Humane) with Mahanoy City EMS and Shenandoah ALS to 1210 West Centre Street in Mahanoy Township for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 11:48 AM on Saturday, October 6, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Mahanoy City EMS, Shenandoah ALS, Humane Fire (Mahanoy City) and West End Rescue (Mahanoy City) to 350 Brandonville Road, Mahanoy Township, for a motor vehicle accident with injury. Engine 451 responded and was advised of a motorcycle accident with one female injured. Ambulance 4803 and Medic 64 were also advised of the additional and requested aeromedical be placed on standby. Mutual aid training at County fire academy

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from the Citizens Fire Company of Mahanoy City and the Goodwill Fire Company of Frackville met at the Schuylkill County Fire Training Academy on Thursday, September 20 to have a joint training. Members went over all of the apparatus and got some time setting up and flying the aerials. Rookie members were put through a maze to familiarize themselves with zero-visibility conditions. Frackville bagel shop burns

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – A few minutes before 8:00 PM on Friday, September 7, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 advised PD Unit 71 (Frackville) that a report was received of a possible business building fire in the area of the bagel shop at Oak Street and Lehigh Avenue. The fire department was dispatched moments later. The first alarm assignment included Frackville Fire, Altamont Fire, Englewood Fire, Tower 456 (Citizens of Mahanoy City) and Frackville Ambulance.   Unit 71 was advised that multiple calls were being received. 71 then called on scene and reported a working fire. Multiple vacants destroyed in Mahanoy City

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – After 2:30AM on Monday, July 30, the Mahanoy City Fire Department was dispatched with Altamont RIT and Frackville Ladder 4320 to the area of North Main and East Raildroad Streets for the reported house fire. Mahanoy City garage catches fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – On Monday, July 2, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Mahanoy City Fire Department to 439 East South Street for a reported garage fire.  The first alarm assignment also included Frackville Ladder 43-20, Altamont for the Rapid Intervention Team and Mahanoy City EMS. Mahanoy City makes quick hit on house fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 7:33 PM on Wednesday, June 20, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Mahanoy City Fire Department, Frackville Ladder 43-20 and Altamont fire company for their RIT to 24 West Spruce Street in Mahanoy City for a reported house fire. Citizens Tower 456 was the first rig on the street and was given additional that police were on scene reporting smoke showing and oxygen cylinders inside.  The Tower arrived on the scene and Lieutenant 456 (Shapanksy) gave a size-up of a two story, end of row with smoke showing from the second floor.
