McAdoo stirkes second alarm for house fire
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Just after noon on Friday, May 20, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 49 (McAdoo) to 9 3rd Street in the Kelayres section of Kline Township for a house on fire. Quint 49-22, who was out on a public service detail, went responding immediately after dispatch and was advised of a frantic caller reporting her house on fire and everyone was to be out of the building. Freeland house burns on Christmas
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Shortly before 10:30 PM on Christmas night, Luzerne County 9-1-1 sent the first alarm assignment to 425 Alvin Street in Freeland Borough for a reported dwelling fire. Most of the first alarm units were already on scene of a multiple alarm dwelling fire in neighboring Butler Township. Non-essential units quickly picked up and responded to Freeland. A second alarm was requested to replace the committed units. Freeland Engine arrived on scene and reported smoke showing from the eves, confirming the working fire in a two and a half story duplex. West Hazleton fire goes two alarms
LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Shortly before 5 PM, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched West Hazleton Fire Station 24 and Hazle Township Fire Station 10 to 201 East Green Street in West Hazleton for a reported structure fire. Chief 244 arrived on the scene and found heavy fire showing from the Bravo side of a two and a half story duplex. The chief assumed command and requested a second alarm be struck.
