SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 0001 hours on Sunday, July 17, Nuremberg-Weston Fire was dispatched to Buck Mountain Road at Truhan Lane for a vehicle crash with ejection. Engine 582 and 583 responded and were advised of a vehicle rollover with at least one person ejected and aeromedical on standby. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – On Monday, January 7 as firefighters were watching the BCS Championship Bowl Game Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 9 (Sheppton-Oneida and Brandonville) with Mahanoy City West End Rescue 993 and Shenandoah ALS to Rattlin Run Road in the area of the East Union Twp. / Union Twp. Line for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – At 8:57 AM on Sunday, September 9, Hazle Township Fire & Rescue was dispatched with APTS Medic 11 to Interstate 81 in the area of mile marker 143 southbound for a reported vehicle accident with possible entrapment and fire.  Medic 11B went responding and was advised of a 15-passenger van rolled over with unknown occupants trapped and the vehicle smoking.  141 Chief (Kostician) went responding and was told multiple calls were being received placing the incident somewhere in a three mile stretch.  On his way to the station, the chief found the accident to be at the 143 … Continue reading →

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 8:34 AM on Tuesday, April 24, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 advised East Union Township PD Unit 68 to check the area of State Route 924 a mile from Brandonville for a reported motor vehicle accident with rollover.  The fire assignment was then sent out which included Sheppton-Oneida Fire, Brandonville Fire and Shenandoah ALS. Man suffers serious injuries on Turnpike

LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Around 4:00 PM on Monday, August 22, Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Stations 9 (Friedens), 29 (Walnutport) and 67 (NOVA EMS) to Interstate 476 (Northeast Extension of PA Turnpike) in the area of mile marker 64 South bound for a motor vehicle accident with rescue. Rollover causes large oil spill

LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – A tractor trailer trying to merge onto Interstate 78 in Upper Macungie Township lost control and flipped onto its side in the early morning hours of Friday, July 29.  The trailer was carrying over 7,000 gallons of used motor oil.  As the truck careened out of control, it struck the median ripping open the tank and allowed the contents to flow freely.   Around 5:30 AM, Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Stations 8 (Fogelsville), 25 (Trexlertown), 56 (Upper Macungie) and 62 (Cetronia EMS) to I78 eastbound in the area of Route 100 for the accident with rollover … Continue reading →

Tractor trailer lands on its side

LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – A tractor trailer carrying cases of water flipped onto its side in Upper Macungie Township around 6:30 AM on Thursday, July 21.  Chief 5601 came upon the accident on Nestle Way and notified Lehigh County 9-1-1 that he would need Fire and EMS services on the scene.  Station 8 (Fogelsville), 56 (Upper Macungie) and 62 (Cetronia EMS) were dispatched for the MVA with rollover. Chicken truck rolls on interstate

  LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – A tractor trailer carrying a load of frozen chicken rolled onto its side on a busy interstate highway Tuesday evening.   A tractor trailer traveling east on Interstate 78 in Upper Macungie Township tipped onto its side around 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 31 just east of the Route 100 interchange.  The Pennsylvania State Police were originally dispatched for the non-injury accident.   Troopers arrived on scene to find the tractor trailer lying across two lanes of the three lane highway.  Fire police were requested from Upper Macungie Township Stations 8 (Fogelsville) and 56 (Upper … Continue reading →
