4+ alarms called to Shenandoah as fire destroys two blocks of homes
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 10:40 AM, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the first alarm assignment to the area of 400 East Centre Street in Shenandoah for a working structure fire. The first alarm brought the Shenandoah Fire Department, Frackville Ladder 43-20 and Mahanoy City West End. First responding units were advised that Communications was receiving multiple calls on a building fire. Marshal 742 arrived on the scene shortly thereafter and reported a working fire with fire showing. 3+ alarms in Mount Carmel
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA – At 8:20AM, Northumberland County 9-1-1 dispatched the first alarm to 232 South Beech Street in Mount Carmel for a working house fire. As the first alarm tones were being dropped, local police got on radio to report a fire on Beech Street. The police were advised the fire department was dispatched and about ten calls were received reporting the fire. Mt. Carmel fire hits fourth alarm
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA – On Wednesday, November 14, the Mount Carmel fire department was dispatched to East Second street for a report of a dwelling fire. First arriving units found smoke pushing from four homes. A second alarm was immediately dispatched as crews began to attack the fire. The fire continued to progress and eventually a fourth alarm was struck bringing in multiple units from various counties. Mahanoy City firefighters find house heavily involved
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from Mahanoy City and Frackville were dispatched shortly before 3 AM to 915 East Pine Street in Mahanoy City for a dwelling fire. MCPD Unit 94 arrived on scene and reported a fully involved rowhome and requested a second alarm. Fire units arrived and the fire quickly escalated to a third alarm fire. First units used deck guns to knock down the bulk of the fire and quickly moved in to make an aggressive attack. The building was laddered and the roof was trenched.
