Fatal Whitehall fire goes multiple alarms
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Around 7:30 AM on Sunday, October 9, Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Engine Rescue 4041, Engines 3911, 3912, Truck 3631 and EMS Station 62 to 5834 Coplay Road in Whitehall Township for a reported structure fire with entrapment. Chief 3501 responded and was advised that the incident would be located at the Blue Fox Hotel. The initial call was received for a burglar alarm at the facility and a second call was reporting smoke in the building. Victim takes off during water rescue
NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, PA – At 15:15 hours on Tuesday, July 19, water rescue personnel were requested to the Lehigh River in Northampton Borough for a water rescue. Fire 42 (Northampton), Fire 47 (Lehigh Township), EMS 49 (Northampton Regional) and Lehigh County Station 40 (Whitehall – Cementon) were dispatched. 4261 was on scene with a male in a white shirt in the river who had submerged under the water. Crews search Lehigh River for missing woman
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Rescuers from multiple fire companies worked together to search for a missing woman along the Lehigh River in North Whitehall Township. At 8:25 PM on Wednesday, May 26, Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched Stations 12 (Laurys Station), 22 (Schnecksville), 67 (Northern Valley EMS), North Whitehall Rescue and Northampton County Station 47 (Lehigh Township) to the Treichlers Bridge on Route 145 for a swift water rescue. Firefighters make quick work of Catasauqua fire
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – Shortly after 2 PM on Friday, firefighters from Stations 2 (Catasauqua) and 18 (North Catasauqua) were dispatched to 730 Third Street in Catasauqua for a dwelling fire. First responding units were advised the caller was reporting smoke and flames in the attic. Lehigh County 9-1-1 was also advising they were receiving multiple calls reporting the fire. Crews arrived on-scene to find a 2.5 story apartment building with smoke showing from the roof. A second alarm was struck for manpower. The fire was extinguished within minutes.
